The camera is an instrument of detection. We photograph not only what we know, but also what we don't know.

I fell in love with arts soon in my life because my parents patiently transmitted it to me. My father, a good self-taught drawer and painter, owned an old camera, but he rarely used it. So at the age of sixteen I attended my first photography course and since then, I have gradually discovered the authors, the technics, the tools, in one word the passion, for the world of photography.

The slowliness of my approach to the professional photography is due to the time I spent in many other passions in my life: sports, computer, movie, drawing and painting. But all of these contributed to make me carefull in observing more then seeing at the world around me; and what is important to me is that since the early time, my walking and my stunning in front of an image has never stopped.

Eventually computer has become my job and photography my language.

Since 2007 I have been collaborating with Maghera Fotografia a cultural association that promotes the knowledge of photography as art

Due to my deep knolwledge of computer science I never suffered the step from analogic to digital photography. On the contrary, because of the fact I had difficulties to have access to a traditional dark room, I waited for the moment in which computer would be fast enough to elaborate image composed of millions of bytes. From the mid '90s to nowadays I approached with increasing interest image elaboration programs. But the road to have my first photography printed on a piece of paper has been long and winding.

In 2001 I bought my first digital camera a Nikon Coolpix 950 an excelent 2MPixel camera.

But there was a problem to solve: getting a print that could compete with chemical process involved purchasing a professional printer, and above all, understanding the digital color management. At the end, in 2008, I was able to obtain my first fine art B&W print.

But I stil go on looking for the best way to obtain a perfect print drawing from the professionals' experience.

Encouraged by the results obtained by digital printing, I began to partecipate to exibitions:

  • In 2008 I patecipatd to the collective exibition to celebrate the 25th year of activity of Marghera Fotografia cultural association.
  • On August 2009 my first personal exibition in the photo gallery inside the mall "Le Barche"
  • On November 2009 a personal exibition in Jesolo
  • On December 2009 the collective exibition "Immagini d'Autore" by Marghera Fotografia
  • On February 2010 the collective exibition at Lambda Gallery in Padua

  • On 2013 the collective exhibition "Percorsi di Luce" at Centro Culturale Candiani in Mestre
  • On 2014 the personal exhibition "Brevi storie" by Foto Archivio Storico della Provincia di Treviso

In 2009 photography became part of my job:

  • I collaborate with ULTRARKITETTURA company in Mestre as a consultant for visual communication.
